The only way you can succeed at selling houses is not to sell them at all. I can’t tell you how many books I’ve read on how to make a sale and none of it applies to what we are doing out at Branson Canyon. Out here, I don’t feel like a Realtor, I feel like a host and that it’s my job to introduce you to the rest of the neighborhood. Today I was outside snapping some construction pictures of one of our new models and I ran into one of our owners here at the canyon and I had an experience that sums it all up.
Monica had a bag of wildflower seeds and she was walking around sowing them into some of the areas community that we’ve left undisturbed and natural. Sowing them, so her family and her neighbors could enjoy them while they are staying there. Talking to her husband, I found out that she had done this in prior years with her father who had passed away this year. Although he wasn’t with them this year, his inspiration would be and the family gathered around this holiday weekend would enjoy the memory.
Yesterday my daughter and I planted some flowers in our flower bed and all she wanted to do after that was to get a glass of lemonade and sit and stare at them for a while. I know what Monica was feeling because it’s moments like these that your children remember…hopefully. I know I’ll never forget that time and that’s enough for me.
Monica rents her home when she is not using it and if you look at her guestbook you can see that many other people have similar cherished memories. Sure, many of the owners at Branson Canyon like being able to rent their home when they are not using it but it’s not the money that makes their faces light up when you talk to them. It’s the guestbook.
Recently, my Grandparents and I upgraded from a four bedroom to a five bedroom at Branson Canyon and she made sure to tell me. Don’t forget to get my guestbook! Grandpa and I are always concerned with rate-of-return and we’ve done well, but Grandma knows that it’s the relationship that matter…and she’s right. Some people don’t even get to really know their grandparents but I’ve had the cool opportunity to invest in this home with my mine and it’s so fulfilling to share the success with them.
The rental program at Branson Canyon is second to none. I encourage you to contact me to find out more about it. Nowhere else in town can you get a home that can host your entire family, year after year and then give you the opportunity to be so fulfilled by sharing it with others. The developer does not have their hand in your pocket. You control who stays in your home and you keep all of the benefits of your effort. It’s your home and your community and I’m inspired by Monica who cares enough to sow something into the neighborhood that we can all enjoy.

Recent flooding late this past month has caused Table Rock Lake to rise to record levels. Normally, Branson Canyon is an easy quarter mile walk to the lake and a public boat launch, but recently, the lake has crept up to our door step. It came all the way up to the green space on Foggy Bay Lane, and gave some people the opportunity to say they have lake front and lake view homes. Access to Branson Canyon was unrestricted, no one was evacuated, and no damage was reported by any homeowners. Branson Canyon is a lake community… and now we know it really is the perfect distance from the lake.

Sometime last year a casual lunch turned into something entirely crazy. We now have watermelon growing in our landscaping! Kevin noticed it earlier this year and we decided to train the vines to give us some nice green ground cover. Well, now we have our first ever Branson Canyon Watermelon. (It’s not quite ripe yet but we’re keeping an eye on it.) There are a few more on the way, wow what a summer it has turned out to be. This hot hot summer will sure to produce some sweet tasting melons…and yes we are proud, yet again to be able to offer something that no other development in town can.
We don’t want to hold our models around for too long…buy one of ours so we can build another one.
Red Tag sale going till July 31, 2010. Email jerworley@bransoncanyon for details.
Folks, you don’t have to listen to our salesman…listen to our owners. This makes 3 familes who already own at Branson Canyon that have now bought a second property here. Are they doing well with their investments? Don’t ask us…ask them. Congrats Marcinks from Union…we are looking forward to building you another great home.
Thanks to their very smart REALTOR, Louis Darby, who brought them to Branson Canyon, the Miller and the Panhorst Families will be making Branson Canyon a place to invest for the future. They are buying their property as a rental investment and will be knocking the cover off the ball by next April I’m sure. We look forward to having you as our newest owners!
Congratulations to the Hammonds for Buying their second Branson Canyon Property!
